NCC Executive Director – Cari Herington, MBA
Cari joined NCC as its first Executive Director and staff in September 2011. For more than 20 years, she has built and lead organizations and coalitions focused on protecting and improving the health of Nevadans. Cari received her MBA from University of Nevada, Reno. She is an avid runner and marathoner and mom to twin teenage girls.
NCC Communications Director – Kristen Power
Kristen joined the NCC in August 2013. She has more than 17 years of experience in public relations, marketing, community outreach, fundraising, and nonprofits. Kristen is a Nevada native and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno. She enjoys the outdoors by hiking, backpacking, road-cycling, snowshoeing, and reading in her hammock.
NCC Community Programs Manager – Christine Thompson
Christine joined NCC in April 2016. She brings a wide range of skills and experiences gained throughout many years as a communications professional, including media and community relations, writing and editing, project management, and more. Christine is a Florida Gator but considers Nevada her home. She is also a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher, avid hiker, and proud grandmother.
NCC Development Coordinator - Emma Glenn
Emma joined NCC in January 2018 after returning to Reno with her family following an 18-month stint in Phoenix, AZ. She brings to NCC nearly a decade of experience managing and coordinating fundraising and special events for nonprofits. She’s essentially a Nevada native, having attended Washoe County Schools from grades 1 – 12, and graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno. If she’s not in the office, you can often find Emma and her family out on the South Reno trails, at a local dog park, or at a Wolf Pack game or event.
