ACT-After Cancer Treatment – A woman’s survivorship group, was formed to help women cancer survivors bridge the gap from existing as a survivor, to living as a Warrior. This community focuses on rebuilding the body, heart and soul in the aftermath of a cancer diagnosis. The organization's mission is to guide women cancer survivors on a path of self-renewal and personal power as they formulate their next step in physical, emotional and spiritual recovery. ACT After Cancer Treatment provides fee-based private mentoring for cancer treatment and recovery. Coaching sessions include discussion to bring clarity and guidance and include an action-plan and written instructions for recommended spiritual, emotional or physical practices. An 8-week course is also offered.

Adams Place provides grief support groups for children, teens and families. Trained volunteered facilitators lead and encourage group members to express the many feelings that are a part of the grieving process. In a safe and confidential home life setting, group members discuss and share activities with others who share similar life changing experiences. They foster children to be open and honest with their feelings.

Adaptive Driving Rehab (ADR) is operated by a  therapist with a focus on driving rehabilitation and a certification in hand therapy. Those that may benefit from the services of ADR can include any inexperienced or previous driver who wishes to drive independently while overcoming a wide range of disabilities, including neuropathy, amputation, emotional conditions, and a variety of other physical and visual limitations. The evaluation by an occupational therapist utilizes an appropriate selection of assessment tools supported by research to determine drive fitness for each category of driver listed below.

The Southern Nevada ACS offers gift closet and resource centers in Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City and Pahrump. Call 702-891-9009 to make an appointment at any of the locations.

A partnership with ACS and Las Vegas Lyft offers Road to Recovery transportation assistance for those in the Las Vegas area seeking a ride to treatment.

The lodging program provides patients receiving treatment in southern Nevada with complimentary stays in participating hotels, based on eligibility. Call the local office for details.

Look Good...Feel Better skincare and makeup classes are available throughout the month at these locations: The Caring Place; Comprehensive Cancer Centers at Twain, South Hills, Northwest, and Siena; The Breast Center at Sunrise; and 21st Century Oncology Tenaya. Call 702-891-9009. Pre-registration is required.

An ACS Patient Navigator is located at Sunrise Hospital and can assist patients with non-medical questions and offer services to support physical, psychological, financial and social issues encountered during cancer.

The ALA's Better Breathers Clubs offer the chance to learn ways to cope with lung diseases. You can also get support from others who share in your struggles. These support groups give you the tools you need to live the best quality of life you can. Additionally, their Lung Connection Community is an online forum for members to discuss how lung disease is affecting them and share their life experience with their peers.
