The UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides medical grants to help children gain access to health-related services not covered, or not fully covered, by their parents’ commercial health insurance plan. Families can receive up to $5,000 annually per child ($10,000 lifetime maximum per child), and do not need to have insurance through UnitedHealthcare to be eligible.

University Medical Center's Oncology Care Center offers inpatient and outpatient services, support groups and programs, and educational services.

University Medical Center's Oncology Care Center offers inpatient and outpatient services, support groups and programs, and educational services. Outpatient services include: initial evaluations, second-opinion consultations, clinical trial access, treatment administration and follow-up care. Additional services include hospital pharmacy, a laboratory, social services, nutritional services, behavioral health, imaging services and speech/occupational/physical therapy services. The imaging services available include magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computerized tomography (CT), ultrasonography (US), and nuclear imaging. The Oncology Department provides the ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course in-house.

The Cancer Survivor Support Group meets the first Tuesday of each month.

UV Lens is a free app that helps users plan out the best time to be outside based on the UV forecast for the day. The app uses your location services to determine your location and provides you information on UV exposure levels throughout a 12-hour period. Users can take a brief skin type assessment to get more tailored information including sunburn risk and recommendations for sun protection based on current UV forecast. Available for Apple, Google and Windows products.

Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada (VMSN) is a non-profit health organization providing medical care and support at no cost to the uninsured and underserved residents of Clark County. The clinic provides preventive and wellness health care as well as treatment of acute and chronic illness. Services include colorectal, breast and cervical cancer screenings, medication assistance, diagnostic testing, and health education and classes.

Home Delivered Meals, also known as Meals on Wheels, provides meals to homebound seniors who are at high nutritional risk.

Home Delivered Meals, also known as Meals on Wheels, provides meals to homebound seniors who are at high nutritional risk. Eligible clients receive up to seven home delivered meals per week including one hot meal on delivery day and up to six frozen meals. Participants must be 60 years of age or older, homebound due to illness, disability or geographic isolation, and unable to attend a congregate meal site. The program enrollment process can take up to six weeks, and all clients will be visited by a Washoe County Senior Services program staff to be certified regarding need for the service.
