Home Delivered Meals, also known as Meals on Wheels, provides meals to homebound seniors who are at high nutritional risk.

Home Delivered Meals, also known as Meals on Wheels, provides meals to homebound seniors who are at high nutritional risk. Eligible clients receive up to seven home delivered meals per week including one hot meal on delivery day and up to six frozen meals. Participants must be 60 years of age or older, homebound due to illness, disability or geographic isolation, and unable to attend a congregate meal site. The program enrollment process can take up to six weeks, and all clients will be visited by a Washoe County Senior Services program staff to be certified regarding need for the service.

Additionally, WhatNext gives people a way to share experiences with their illnesses using an easy to use timeline format. As a result, when people share their experiences they are catalogued and easy to find by others.

Users on the site can meet others with a similar diagnosis or in the same area, ask questions, share a story, and more. The site is for fighters, survivors, and caregivers.

Each of Nevada's Community Health Nursing clinics offers a variety of services including nursing services to residents of all ages and incomes.  The community health nurses provide services in 13 locations throughout the state.  Each clinic provides services at a low cost or using a sliding scale dependent upon income.  Services are not denied due to inability to pay.  The clinics also accept private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare. Services include cancer screening for breast, cervical, colorectal and testicular cancers, immunizations including for the HPV vaccine, as well as counseling and education on a variety of health topics.

The Women's Cancer Center Foundation For Research is dedicated to advancing the treatment and prevention of cancer. Grants fund researchers of gynecological cancers and increased educational materials for primary care physicians and patients. Programs include Cash for Chemotherapy, providing financial assistance to underinsured or uninsured patients who need assistance with chemotherapy treatments for gynecological cancer.

The Women's Cancer Center is a recognized leader in the fight against gynecological cancers including ovarian, breast and uterine cancer. As a full member in the Gynecologic Oncology Group, the center offers both standard approaches and clinical trials for those who qualify. Surgeons are experienced and knowledgeable in the use of laporascopic techniques for treating women with gynecological cancer, one of only a handful of major institutions in the country who study this approach. The center participates in research and clinical trials for gynecological cancers.

Women's Health Connection provides education, screening, diagnosis, and treatment for breast and cervical cancer. Women who do not have health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare Part B, HMO coverage; or whose health insurance coverage does not pay for preventive services; and who meet the program’s income guidelines are eligible. Young Survival Coalition is dedicated to critical issues unique to young women diagnosed with breast cancer. The organization provider resources, connections and outreach to women, as well as a source of education about breast self-awareness and knowledge.
