Each of Nevada's Community Health Nursing clinics offers a variety of services including nursing services to residents of all ages and incomes.  The community health nurses provide services in 13 locations throughout the state.  Each clinic provides services at a low cost or using a sliding scale dependent upon income.  Services are not denied due to inability to pay.  The clinics also accept private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare. Services include cancer screening for breast, cervical, colorectal and testicular cancers, immunizations including for the HPV vaccine, as well as counseling and education on a variety of health topics.

Circle of Life Hospice helps people in the advanced stages of a chronic or terminal illness who have made the decision to live their remaining days with dignity and surrounded by compassionate caregivers. The hospice team consists of nurses, aides, social workers, spiritual care advisers, physicians, volunteers, dietitians, therapists and bereavement counsel with that will facilitate helping you "live with" versus "dying from" an illness. Circle of Life can assist patients in Northern Nevada including Reno and out to Fernley and Fallon. Circle of Life Foundation can also assist caregivers who may not be able to meet the needs of the patient.

Clark County Social Services Medical Assistance program provides care to low-income individuals not eligible for other public or private programs.

Clark County Social Services Medical Assistance program provides care to low-income individuals not eligible for other public or private programs. Client services include outpatient clinic care, inpatient hospital care, emergency room service, institutional care, adult day care, medical transportation and pharmacy services. Eligibility determination is based upon an assessment of need according to established agency guidelines. CCSS staff is available to assist hospital discharge planners with outpatient needs of patients from University Medical Center and local private hospitals. CCSS Referral for Service form (For hospital use only) Eligibility determinations for agency programs are made and information/referrals are provided. Staff also visits homebound clients to assess eligibility for agency programs. Eligibility determination is based upon an assessment of need according to established agency guidelines.

Cleaning For A Reason is committed to providing the gift of a clean home, while you are undergoing treatment for any type of cancer. Their goal is to focus on your home, so you can focus on your health. The foundation was officially formed in May 2006 as a Texas non-profit corporation. They recruit maid services that voluntarily clean your home free of charge.

The Blue Hope Financial Assistance program is a program that provides help for colorectal cancer screening and treatment. For qualifying people, Blue Hope Financial Assistance will cover:

The Blue Hope Financial Assistance program is a program that provides help for colorectal cancer screening and treatment. For qualifying people, Blue Hope Financial Assistance will cover:

  • The cost of a screening test or a $300 one-time financial stipend to help cover screening-related expenses, or
  • A one-time $200 stipend to cover treatment-related expenses for those currently in treatment for colon or rectal cancer

Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis. Awards are based on funding availability.
