The American Cancer Society is a volunteer-based health service organization dedicated to eliminating cancer. Support services include Cancer Information Line 800-ACS-2345; loan closet; gift closet; support groups, “Look Good Feel Better” Program, Road to Recovery and Reach to Recovery programs. National programs of the American Cancer Society include the National Cancer Survivorship Resource Center. The goal of the center is to shape the future of cancer survivorship care and improve the quality of life for cancer survivors transitioning from treatment to recovery. Resources of the center include a post-treatment guide for survivors, tools for health care professionals, and tools for advocates.
