Sanford Center for Aging
The mission of the Sanford Center for Aging is to enhance the quality of life and well-being among elders through education, translational research, and community outreach. The center offers the Cancer: Thriving and Surviving workshop, a free 7-week program for cancer survivors developed by Stanford University School of Medicine. The program covers techniques for dealing with pain, fatigue, isolation and more; appropriate exercise; decision-making for treatment and complementary therapies; nutrition; relationships; setting priorities; communication and more.
