Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican works in partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure , the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the Rose Regatta, and the Avon Foundation to provide free clinical breast exams, mammograms, ultrasounds, surgical consultations and biopsies to women and men 49 and younger who lack adequate health care coverage or the financial means to obtain them. This collaborative program is called R.E.D. Rose which stands for Responsible Early Detection. Because the breast cancer survival rate for both women and men is directly related to how early treatment is sought, the program addresses the need for quality breast cancer screenings, diagnostic screenings and treatment services. If you – or someone you know – have found a lump in your breast or chest area but do not have adequate insurance to have it checked, Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican's R.E.D. Rose Program may be able to help. Support services such as utility, rent and food assistance are also available to anyone undergoing breast cancer treatments. Bilingual services are available.
