Chronic Pain Self-Management Workshops Announced

12 December, 2020

The Sanford Center for Aging would like to invite anyone living with chronic pain and/or their care partners to participate with us in a chronic pain workshop developed by Stanford University.

Chronic Pain Self-Management is a FREE six-part weekly workshop designed to help you focus on your wellbeing, quality of life, appropriate use of meds, decision-making and problem-solving.

You’ll learn techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation and sleep challenges you may be having due to cancer, its treatment or post-cancer symptoms as well as other sources of chronic pain.

The workshop is especially convenient for rural Nevadans, because it’s given online via Zoom technology.
• Workshop A: Tuesdays, Feb. 2 through March 16, from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
• Workshop B: Wednesdays, March 10 through April 21, from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
