When you support NCC with a financial contribution, your donation stays in Nevada for Nevadans. There are a number of ways your donation can support NCC's programs and activities.

Sun Smart Nevada
Funding for Sun Smart Nevada supports a variety of sun safety activities throughout the state. In the community, it supports educational outreach programs and installation of sunscreen dispensers. In schools, the Sun Smart Schools program provides educational presentations, access to curriculum, free sunscreen and dispensers, and classroom tools to teach kids how to stay safe in the sun.
$70 = One wall-mounted sunscreen dispenser
$180 = One case of sunscreen for students or one community sunscreen dispenser
Cancer Assistance Fund
We know that access to adequate cancer screening and diagnostic services can be a challenge for many Nevadans. Several programs exist to provide free or reduced cost screening for breast cancers, but for some those aren’t enough. NCC’s Cancer Assistance Fund covers the cost of breast, colorectal, lung or cervical cancer screening or diagnostic exams when all other forms of assistance have been exhausted. All funds are allocated through Access to Healthcare Network and provided directly to healthcare providers to pay for services. Direct support to individuals is not available.
$500 = Average screening or diagnostic cost for one person
ThriveNV Navigation
Through statewide research, NCC found that survivors in Nevada—especially those in rural communities—need greater support to access follow-up care, understand their treatment, and improve quality of life. The ThriveNV program was created to provide an online hub of information for survivors in Nevada, and an accompanying Patient Navigation program connects survivors and caregivers with the tools they need. Navigation services are provided completely free of charge and in English and Spanish. $250 will help NCC to navigate one caregiver or survivor.

Regular, planned gifts to Nevada Cancer Coalition help us to budget for and provide consistency in our programs and cancer control efforts. You can establish the level and frequency of support, and we’ll take care of the rest.
