Denise Dunning Awards - Call for Nominations

12 December, 2013

We are now accepting nominations for the 2013 Denise Dunning Award. Presented annually at the Nevada Cancer Control Summit, the award was created in 2012 to recognize and celebrate outstanding cancer control efforts in the state of Nevada. The award is given in memory of Denise Faye Dunning, whose passion and leadership was crucial to advancing cancer prevention, control and treatment in Nevada. As the State Comprehensive Cancer Control Coordinator, she was dedicated to the Coalition and its work until cancer took her life.

The Denise Dunning Award recognizes an individual, organization or businesses that has shown great passion and leadership in cancer control throughout the year, or has initiated a unique and successful program or practice specific to cancer prevention education, or control during the year. The Nevada Cancer Coalition Executive Committee reviews all nominations and selects the winner(s) of the award.

The deadline for nominations for the 2013 Denise Dunning Award has been extended through March 31, 2014. Click here for a nomination form.
