HPV Collaborative

Prevention: HPV and Cervical Cancer

HPV vaccination rates in Nevada improved steadily until the COVID-19 pandemic, but have since stalled and declined slightly, especially among adolescents and young adults in rural areas. Disparities by geography and gender persist. The Nevada Cancer Coalition is focused on increasing HPV vaccination rates across the state to reduce the future burden of HPV-related cancers.

Cancer Plan Goal: Increase early detection of cancers to reduce late-stage diagnosis.

HPV Collaborative

This group of volunteers is at the heart of efforts to increase uptake of HPV vaccination and meets quarterly to develop tools, resources, and educational opportunities for healthcare providers, and identify ways to engage Nevadans and execute strategies outlined in the Nevada Cancer Plan.
