02 February, 2025
Are you a cancer survivor looking to stay active and healthy? Researchers at Colorado State University, in collaboration with the Fit Cancer program, are conducting a virtual research study to explore the benefits of a physical activity maintenance program for cancer survivors.
The study, called SPAACES (Sustaining Physical Activity After Cancer Exercise Sessions), aims to help individuals maintain regular physical activity after completing cancer treatment.
Who Can Participate?
- Survivors and thrivers from across the U.S. can participate. They must meet the following criteria:
- Have completed primary cancer treatment within the past five years
- Are not currently physically active
- Have any type of cancer diagnosis
What Does the Study Involve?
- Over the course of nine months, participants will take part in a fully virtual research program that includes:
- Physical activity assessments
- Questionnaires
- A physical activity maintenance intervention program
Why Join?
In addition to having the Fit Cancer program fee waived for eligible participants, study researchers will also compensate participants for their time. And, joining the study helps you to contribute to meaningful research that helps improve physical activity support for cancer survivors.
The next study group begins this March. If you or someone you know is interested in participating, visit the study website to learn more and register: SPAACES Study Enrollment
